Johns Creek weighs joining Fulton's emergency tax collection petition

A backlog of 292 unprocessed land packages has stalled Fulton County's 2026 tax digest, preventing the school district from setting its millage rate or collecting local property tax revenue that accounts for more than 60% of its budget. The Johns Creek City Council votes Monday, July 27, on joining a Superior Court petition to authorize interim tax collection.
