Medley's walk-in job fair Wednesday, Sept. 16, aims to fill more than 300 retail and restaurant positions ahead of the Johns Creek development's Oct. 29 grand opening.

A dozen businesses are expected to hire at the event, North Atlanta Star reported. The fair runs from 3 to 7 p.m. on the second floor of 4300 Medley Blvd. No appointment is needed. Applicants should bring resumes and be ready to interview on the spot.

Businesses expected to participate include Sephora, Fadó Irish Pub, Playa Bowls, Drybar Shops, STIR, Tonic House by STIR, Fogón and Lions, Minnie Olivia Pizzeria, The Nest, Hollow Oak, 13 Hub Lane and Clean Your Dirty Face. Openings span retail, restaurant, hospitality management, customer service and operations roles, both part-time and full-time.

The city of Johns Creek promoted the event on its official Facebook page, calling it part of the Johns Creek Town Center transformation.

Paul Bodine, vice president of community at Toro Development Company and Medley's general manager, announced the fair during an Aug. 25 podcast interview with The Creek Magazine. "If you do want to come and work at Medley, we'll have a job fair next month … if anybody's looking for a job or secondary job, we'll have it," Bodine said.

Medley sits at Johns Creek Parkway and McGinnis Ferry Road. Toro Development Company is building the $560 million project, which is planned around 164,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space, 883 residences and a 150-room boutique hotel.

About 80 percent of retail and office space was leased as of June, according to Toro. Trader Joe's became the first tenant to open at Medley that month.

As we reported Sept. 10, Toro recently hired Johns Creek native Madilyn Browning as Medley's concierge manager. Among the job fair participants is Hollow Oak, a bookstore and community space founded by Johns Creek native Katie Bossie.

Additional hiring is expected after the Sept. 16 fair as more businesses open and later phases come online. Medley's residential component, Prelude, begins move-ins as early as Nov. 1. A second residential phase called Encore is set for 2027, with a hotel to follow in 2028.
