Voters cast 3,575 ballots at three Johns Creek-area early voting locations during the first two days of advance voting for the Nov. 3 general election, according to Fulton County’s unofficial figures.

Robert E. Fulton Ocee Library at 5090 Abbotts Bridge Road recorded 2,037 ballots through Wednesday, Oct. 14. Northeast Spruill Oaks Library at 9560 Spruill Road recorded 994, according to the county’s daily turnout report.

The Johns Creek Environmental Campus at 8100 Holcomb Bridge Road recorded 544 ballots — 277 on Tuesday, Oct. 13, and 267 the following day.

The figures reflect ballots cast at those locations, rather than turnout specifically among Johns Creek residents. Registered Fulton County voters may use any advance voting site in the county.

Across Fulton’s 32 regular early voting locations, 45,804 ballots were recorded during the first two days: 23,845 on Oct. 13 and 21,959 on Oct. 14.

Georgia sets opening-day midterm record

Statewide, approximately 188,667 Georgians voted in person on Oct. 13, setting a first-day early voting record for a midterm election, according to the Georgia Secretary of State’s Office.

That was approximately 40% above the 134,962 people who voted on opening day in 2022. In the 2018 midterm election, 70,849 Georgians voted on the first day.

Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger said the turnout showed voters’ confidence in the election system.

What’s on the ballot

The Nov. 3 ballot includes races for governor, U.S. Senate and Fulton County Commission seats.

Fulton voters will also decide whether to renew the existing 1% education sales tax, known as ESPLOST. The proposal would continue collections beginning July 1, 2027, for up to five years and could raise approximately $2.1 billion for educational purposes.

A separate question asks voters to renew the 0.75% transportation sales tax, Rough Draft Atlanta reported.

Early voting continues through Oct. 30

All three Johns Creek-area sites opened Tuesday, Oct. 13. Early voting continues through Friday, Oct. 30.

Hours are 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday, according to the county’s schedule.

On Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 3, voters must use their assigned polling location. Residents can check their registration, review a sample ballot and find their precinct through Georgia’s My Voter Page.
