Johns Creek police arrested a woman on charges of false imprisonment, battery and cruelty to children at the 10500 block of Plantation Bridge Drive on Tuesday, Aug. 18, according to the department's daily bulletin.
Christina V. Williams, 36, was taken into custody at 5:49 p.m. All three charges are misdemeanors. Under Georgia law, a misdemeanor cruelty-to-children charge can apply when a primary aggressor commits battery or family violence battery in the presence of a child under 18, or intentionally allows a child to witness such acts. The bulletin does not include details about the victim's age or relationship to Williams.
The arrest was one of 12 entries logged by the Johns Creek Police Department that day: five arrests, four traffic accidents and three other incidents.
DUI arrest on McGinnis Ferry Road
Officers arrested Martin Bustamante Mora, 44, at the 8400 block of McGinnis Ferry Road near River Walk Landing at 12:59 a.m. on Aug. 18. Mora was charged with DUI-less safe-alcohol, a misdemeanor. The incident was first reported at 12:35 a.m.
Two other traffic arrests
Salvador Moreno-Castillo, 48, was arrested at the 8200 block of McGinnis Ferry Road at Kemp Road at 11:48 p.m. on charges of driving with a surrendered license and failure to maintain lane.
Jose Alfredo Parra-Mendoza, 55, was arrested at the 10200 block of Medlock Bridge Road at Medlock Bridge Parkway at 8:12 p.m. on charges of driving with a surrendered license and failure to obey a traffic-control device.
Four crashes reported
Four traffic accidents were logged on Aug. 18:
- A crash at 9700 Medlock Bridge Road at 2:04 a.m. involving Timothy Jacob LeBár. No other parties were listed.
- A two-vehicle crash at 11201 Medlock Bridge Road at Medlock Bridge Parkway/Johns Creek Parkway at 12:52 p.m. involving Youn Hee Song and Gitza Franco Hernandez.
- A two-vehicle crash at 11101 Medlock Bridge Road at Bell Road at 3:03 p.m. involving Connor Edward Cochran and Condren Nicholson.
- A two-vehicle crash at 5750 E. Morton Road at 3:56 p.m. involving Kyle H. Yu and Sophia Renee Prudhomme.
Three of the four crashes occurred along Medlock Bridge Road.
Other incidents
Police also logged a criminal trespass report at the 10900 block of State Bridge Road at 12:22 p.m. That case is listed as suspended. A suspicious activity report at the 5600 block of Timson Lane, covering Aug. 14 through Aug. 18, was administratively closed, as was a lost-property report at the 200 block of Thorpe Park.
