Jaxson and Lagassee Wright, brothers from the Johns Creek area who play lacrosse at Wesleyan School, have committed to play together at Wagner College in Staten Island, New York.

Both brothers committed to the Wagner Seahawks on Wednesday, Oct. 7, joining the program's 2028 recruiting class, according to Inside Lacrosse. The Gwinnett Daily Post also reported the commitment.

Jaxson plays midfielder and Lagassee plays long-stick midfielder at Wesleyan, a private college-preparatory school in Peachtree Corners that draws many of its students from Johns Creek. Both also compete for the 3d Georgia 2028 Red club team.

The brothers committed together.

Their club program, 3d Lacrosse, announced Jaxson's commitment on Oct. 12 and described him as a versatile midfielder who can change a game on offense, defense and in transition. The program said Jaxson can win wing ground balls, dodge and shoot from the alley, and dominate his matchup on the defensive end. 3d Lacrosse called him a leader on the field and a player younger midfielders can look up to. Jaxson was the program's 40th commit in the 2028 class.

3d Lacrosse said it looks forward to seeing both brothers make an impact at Wagner.

Wagner competes in the Northeast Conference (NEC) and plays home games at Hameline Field on Staten Island. The Seahawks went 5-8 during the 2026 season. The NEC includes programs across the northeastern United States, and Wagner's roster will add both Wrights when they arrive for the 2028-29 academic year.

At Wesleyan, the brothers play under head coach Connor Breslin, a Wesleyan alumnus who leads the boys lacrosse program. Breslin oversees three competitive teams for boys in grades 7 through 12. The Wolves won the GHSA boys lacrosse state championship in 2024 and compete in GHSA A Division I, Region 5.

Both brothers are in the Class of 2028. Wesleyan's boys lacrosse season typically runs in the spring, and the Wrights will have their senior campaign ahead before heading to Staten Island.
