Wesleyan School catcher Siena Myers committed to the University of South Carolina softball program on Sunday, Sept. 6, after a junior season that earned her first-team all-state honors.

Myers, a catcher and outfielder for the Wolves, is the first public commitment in South Carolina's 2028 recruiting class, according to On3. She announced her pledge on social media after the recruiting visit window for the class of 2028 opened on Tuesday, Sept. 1.

Softball America and On3 rank Myers as the No. 104 overall prospect and No. 14 catcher nationally in the 2028 class.

Myers earned first-team all-state and first-team all-county honors last season, hitting .429 with nine home runs, 41 RBIs, seven doubles, four triples and a .482 on-base percentage, the Gwinnett Daily Post reported. She helped Wesleyan capture its fifth consecutive GHSA private-school state championship in 2025, a 9-1 win over Hebron Christian that capped a 30-3 season.

Brady Vernon of Softball America said Myers "has a strong base and balance in her swing, can get on plane quickly, and understands timing in her approach. She can drive the ball to the opposite field with power, consistently delivering her barrel to the inside of the ball."

Wesleyan School sits in Peachtree Corners but draws students from across the Johns Creek area. Myers was behind the plate for the Wolves as recently as Wednesday, Aug. 19, when Wesleyan faced St. Pius in a GHSA fastpitch game.

Myers heads to a South Carolina program that went 44-17 in 2025 and hosted a Super Regional for the first time since 2018. Head coach Ashley Chastain Woodard said in May 2025, after that Super Regional run, that she was "really excited for the future" and believed the national respect the program earned in softball was significant.

Wesleyan entered the 2026 season chasing a sixth consecutive state championship, according to the Fulton Neighbor. Myers will look to add to that legacy before heading to Columbia.
