A military couple in the North Fulton area will receive a fully donated wedding valued at more than $35,000 in services, after being selected through a new program that brought together wedding vendors from across Georgia.

Brandy Yungel, owner of Southern Weddings and Florals, launched Weddings to Warriors this year to honor service members during America's 250th anniversary of independence. The program accepted applications through Saturday, July 4, from couples in which at least one partner is on active duty or is a veteran, National Guard member or Reserve member.

The winning couple was selected on Monday, July 13, at the Pardue Family Foundation Center in Milton, the same venue where the wedding will take place. The couple's names and military branch have not been publicly released.

"As America celebrates 250 years of freedom, I couldn't think of a better way to give back than by honoring those who have served and sacrificed to protect it," Yungel told Appen Media in June when the program was first announced.

The donated package includes wedding services worth more than $35,000 from local businesses contributing catering, florals, photography and other vendor work. Yungel, who has more than 12 years of experience in the wedding industry and operates from Arnold Mill Road in the North Fulton area, said professionals from across the state volunteered once she shared the idea.

This is the inaugural year for the program.

The Pardue Family Foundation Center, located at 12900 Arnold Mill Road, opened in 2024 as part of the Ebenezer Church campus. The venue accommodates up to 300 guests.

No wedding date has been announced. Residents can learn more about the program at weddingstowarriors.carrd.co.
