Student bands at School of Rock Johns Creek will perform live sets Friday, July 24, during a free Back-to-School Bash open to families just days before the new school year begins.

The event runs from 2 to 7 p.m. at 10900 Medlock Bridge Road, Suite 107, at the corner of Medlock Bridge and Abbott Bridge roads. No tickets or registration are required.

The five-hour afternoon features the school's student musicians on stage, according to the School of Rock Johns Creek event listing. Staff will also be on hand to answer questions about the school's programs, which range from Rock 101 and Rookies for younger players to the Performance program, House Band, and the audition-based AllStars track. The school teaches guitar, drums, bass, keyboards, and vocals.

The bash is an indoor event at a retail suite, so thunderstorms in the Friday forecast should not affect the schedule.

Johns Creek students head to The Masquerade on Saturday

House Band members from the Johns Creek location join performers from School of Rock Buckhead, West Cobb, Woodstock, and Alpharetta for the 2026 AllStars Tour stop at The Masquerade in Atlanta on Saturday, July 25. Doors open at 6 p.m. with the show starting at 6:30 p.m. That event is ticketed and held at a separate venue.

The AllStars program accepts less than 1% of School of Rock students worldwide, according to the organization's website.
