The LaunchPad Performance Co., an indoor baseball and softball training facility, opened with a Johns Creek Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting Sunday, Sept. 27, at 10985 Jones Bridge Road in Alpharetta.

The grand opening ran from 3 to 6 p.m., with the Chamber ceremony beginning the event. The facility sits on Jones Bridge Road near the Alpharetta-Johns Creek border and says it serves athletes in both cities and surrounding communities, according to the business's social media posts. The LaunchPad describes itself as a training hub for baseball and softball players.

The Chamber also recently celebrated a ribbon cutting for The Brunch Spot during the week of Sept. 21, according to the organization's LinkedIn page.

Next on the Chamber's event calendar is a ribbon cutting for Stars Integrative Care, a medical and mental health practice at 4330 Johns Creek Parkway, Suite 400, in Suwanee. That ceremony is set for Oct. 28 from 11 a.m. to noon.

Stars Integrative Care is led by Dr. Chriss Mulumba, a psychiatrist and Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) specialist in practice since 2017, and Dr. Sindy Mulumba, a family medicine physician with more than 15 years of experience, according to the practice's website. The practice offers psychiatry, TMS therapy, family medicine and integrative wellness at a single location.

TMS is an FDA-approved, non-invasive treatment targeting depression and obsessive-compulsive disorder that has not responded to other therapies, the practice's site states.

The clinic's team speaks English, French, Swahili and Creole, and the practice accepts several major insurers including Aetna and Blue Cross Blue Shield. Stars Integrative Care serves patients ages 15 and older across Suwanee, Johns Creek, Alpharetta, Duluth and nearby areas.

The LaunchPad and Stars Integrative Care join a steady stream of new businesses entering the Johns Creek Chamber community. The Chamber lists more than 300 members and hosts more than 100 events per year.
