Anna Norris fired six birdies in the final round Thursday, July 30, to win the girls' division at the American Junior Golf Association's Babygrande Atlanta Classic at Pinetree Country Club in Kennesaw.

Norris, a Johns Creek resident and class of 2030 junior golfer, finished at 6-under par for the tournament, clinching the title with a birdie on the par-5 18th hole. She held at least a share of the lead after every round, having tied with defending champion Addison Peeples of Gainesville atop the leaderboard after Round 1 at 2-under.

"I'm from Johns Creek, so pretty close," Norris said in a video interview posted July 28 by Babygrande Golf, noting the short drive to the host course.

Her second round set up the win. Norris carded five birdies Wednesday, July 29, to pull one stroke clear of Marietta's Chaeeun Yu and Peeples, both at 1-under, according to the Marietta Daily Journal.

Norris has been on a tear this summer. She competed in the U.S. Girls' Junior Championship at Old Chatham Golf Club in Durham, N.C., July 13–18 as a member of the U.S. National Development Program's Georgia State Junior Team, and earned a point for Team Thor at the inaugural Team TaylorMade Cup earlier in July.

Fellow Johns Creek golfer Asher Sisk, a student athlete at Johns Creek High School, made a strong run in the boys' division. Sisk racked up 12 birdies through two rounds, including six in Round 2, to share the boys' lead at 3-under with Haishu Cao of Dongguan, China, heading into Thursday's finale.

Sisk held a one-stroke lead at the turn in the final round at 6-under, according to the AJGA. But a tough back nine dropped him to 2-under for the tournament (rounds of 72-69-73), and he finished tied for fifth. Braydon Pulcanio claimed the boys' title.

The Babygrande Atlanta Classic, which honors PGA professional Gene Siller, ran Monday, July 27, through Thursday, July 30, at Pinetree Country Club. The AJGA, headquartered in Braselton, Georgia, hosts the event annually as part of its national junior development circuit.
