Johns Creek will hold its first dedicated arts festival at The Boardwalk at Town Center on Saturday, Sept. 26.
Arts on the Boardwalk runs from 1 to 4 p.m. at 11362 Lakefield Drive, next to City Hall. The program includes a juried art exhibit, live music, dance, theater and a showcase of high school artists.
The city announced on X on Sept. 12 that the festival will also feature local artisans, hands-on art experiences and local authors. The event is the first dedicated arts festival on the city's 2026 special events calendar, which originally listed it under the planning name "Arts Festival."
An Event Planning Committee organized by the city's Recreation and Parks department helped shape the program. A May 2026 city staff report said the committee considered using City Hall's council chambers and work session room for indoor programming alongside the outdoor activities.
The Boardwalk at Town Center opened to the public March 18 and held its grand opening concert on May 8, drawing between 2,500 and 3,000 people. The 20-acre park features an outdoor amphitheater with a deck over the water, terraced seating, trails through constructed wetlands, pedestrian plazas and pond overlooks, according to Appen Media. The park cost $39 million to build. The bandshell amphitheater holds up to 500 guests.
Parking is available at Johns Creek City Hall, 11360 Lakefield Drive. Visitors reach the park by taking the path to the left of the City Hall front entrance.
More details are listed on the city's event page.
