All three Johns Creek-area high schools graduated more than 98% of their Class of 2026 seniors on time.

Chattahoochee High School led the way at 99.1%, followed by Northview at 98.7% and Johns Creek High School at 98.6%, according to official data the Georgia Department of Education released Monday, Sept. 28. All three schools have maintained graduation rates above 95% for seven consecutive years.

The local results came as Fulton County Schools posted a district-wide four-year graduation rate of 93.44%, a record for the sixth straight year. The district's rate has climbed 7.9 percentage points since 2020, when it stood at 85.5%.

Fulton's mark sits nearly five points above Georgia's statewide rate of 88.5%, itself a state record, according to the North Atlanta Star.

Each Johns Creek-area school improved over its 2025 rate. Chattahoochee gained 2.1 points, Johns Creek High gained 1.5 points and Northview gained 0.7 points. District-wide, the rate rose 1.5 percentage points from 2025 to 2026.

Superintendent Mike Looney, Georgia's 2024 Superintendent of the Year, pointed to academic standards as a driver. "We've refused to compromise the rigor and our expectations for students … We're not going to take shortcuts to help students graduate," Looney told Atlanta News First on Wednesday, Sept. 30.

Every gain counts.

In a district statement, Looney credited students, teachers, families and business partners for the milestone.

Chattahoochee Principal Michael Todd said in the district's executive summary that the school's 99.1% rate reflected a focus on knowing students individually and providing ongoing support through counseling and the school's Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) team.

Board President Kristin McCabe said in the district statement that more than nine out of 10 students across Fulton County now graduate on time.

Beyond the three Johns Creek schools, Cambridge, Milton and Riverwood also exceeded 97% in 2026. The four-year adjusted cohort graduation rate measures how many students who entered ninth grade earn a diploma within four years.

Among 21 Fulton high schools with comparable data for both years, 14 improved and two held steady.
