Lifespan Intergenerational will host its first Adam Gourley Memorial Golf Outing on Monday, Oct. 26, at The Standard Club in Johns Creek.
The event honors Adam Gourley, whom the nonprofit describes as someone who brought people together. Proceeds will support Lifespan's programs that connect older adults and younger people to reduce loneliness and social isolation.
Lifespan Resources Inc., a nonprofit recognized as a Generations United Program of Merit, focuses on bridging generational divides through virtual programs and alumni networks, according to the organization's website. Paul Gourley, a Lifespan board member and vice president of strategic alliances at Equifax, is listed among the organization's directors.
The golf outing offers several ways to participate. Individual golfers can register to be paired with others, or groups can sign up as a foursome. Sponsorship packages range from one foursome with a cart up to top-level tiers that include two foursomes, premier signage, a full-page program ad and a speaking opportunity.
Those who prefer to skip the golf can buy a dinner-only ticket. That option includes a putting challenge, happy hour, dinner, awards and a presentation from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m.
The nonprofit also created "Adam's Circle of Connection," a giving program that accepts donations of any size in Adam's memory, according to the event's registration page.
Kerry Thomas, executive director of Lifespan Intergenerational, can be reached at 770-317-4072 for questions. Registration and sponsorship details are available on the event's Zeffy ticketing page.
