Johns Creek residents looking to get back on the diamond have a narrowing window to join the city's adult co-ed slow-pitch softball league at Ocee Park this fall.

The City of Johns Creek said on X Thursday, July 30, that registration remains open for the league, which caps competition at just eight teams. Registration first opened Friday, July 10, meaning some slots may already be spoken for with the season opener set for Tuesday, Aug. 11.

Games are played on Tuesday evenings at Ocee Park through Oct. 20, weather permitting.

What it costs

Team registration is $450, with an additional $15 fee per non-resident player. According to the city's recreation page, those fees cover the full season from Aug. 11 through Oct. 20.

Individual players who don't yet have a team can also register through the city's Rec1 portal, where sign-ups open Tuesday, Aug. 4, and run through Oct. 20.

Who can play

The league welcomes participants of all skill levels, according to the city. Players can form teams with friends, neighbors, or co-workers, and the city has framed the league as a way for adults across Johns Creek to stay active and competitive without requiring prior organized-ball experience.

The city first posted the registration announcement on July 10 and followed up with a reminder on July 30, signaling that spots have not yet filled. But with only eight team slots and the Aug. 11 season opener on the calendar, prospective players should register before the remaining spots are claimed.
