Police Chief Mark Mitchell's department logged a hit-and-run arrest and four other misdemeanor bookings Wednesday, Aug. 5, alongside six traffic crashes that hit several of Johns Creek's busiest roads, according to the JCPD daily bulletin.
The bulletin recorded 13 entries for the day: five arrests, six traffic crashes, one lost property report and one traffic arrest incident. All five arrests were misdemeanor charges with no felonies recorded.
Arrests
A 74-year-old man was arrested at 1:38 p.m. on a charge of duty to stop at an accident, the bulletin's designation for hit-and-run, at the 400 block of Crepe Myrtle Terrace.
A 49-year-old man faced the most charges of the day. Officers arrested him at 4:08 p.m. at the 100 block of Jones Bridge Road at East Fox Court on four counts: removing or affixing a license plate with intent to conceal a vehicle's identity, suspended or revoked registration, a motor vehicle registration violation and disorderly conduct.
A 28-year-old man was arrested at 1:42 p.m. at the 100 block of State Bridge Road at Camden Way on a charge of suspended or revoked registration.
Two people were arrested at the same location and time. A 20-year-old woman was charged with no insurance, and a 24-year-old man was charged with disorderly conduct. Both were booked at 9:40 p.m. at the 100 block of McGinnis Ferry Road at Technology Circle under the same case number, indicating a single incident.
Six crashes across major corridors
Six traffic crashes were recorded across the city:
- 8:10 a.m. — Boles Road at Abbotts Bridge Road
- 10:27 a.m. — 6499 Hospital Parkway
- 10:40 a.m. — 10680 Medlock Bridge Road at Parsons Road
- 1 p.m. — 11415 Lakefield Drive
- 2:07 p.m. — 5791 State Bridge Road
- 5:22 p.m. — 10951 Medlock Bridge Road at Abbotts Bridge Road
State Bridge Road saw both a crash and an arrest on the same day. Medlock Bridge Road appeared in two separate crash reports at different intersections.
A lost property report at the 6100 block of Wilson Road, filed at 7:29 a.m., was administratively closed.
