The Fulton County Sheriff's Office arrested a man from its "Top 10 Most Wanted" fugitive list on Friday, July 17, on charges that he sexually assaulted a 10-year-old child.
James Anthony Zachery was taken into custody in Decatur on charges including rape, aggravated sodomy, trafficking a person for sexual servitude and solicitation of sodomy involving a person under 18, according to the Fulton County Sheriff's Office.
Zachery is being held without bond at the Fulton County Jail.
The arrest was carried out by the sheriff's office fugitive apprehension team. Sheriff Patrick "Pat" Labat said in a press release that the team safely executed the operation, crediting ongoing efforts to strengthen the agency's fugitive units.
The sheriff's office had placed Zachery on its top-10 fugitive list prior to the arrest. No details were released about when the charges were initially filed or how long Zachery had been a fugitive.
No court date or arraignment has been publicly announced as of Saturday, July 18.
