A 45-year-old man faces six misdemeanor charges, including DUI and cruelty to children, after a late-night traffic stop on Jones Bridge Road, according to the Johns Creek Police Department's daily bulletin for Sunday, Aug. 9.

Joshua David Golden was stopped at the 100 block of Jones Bridge Road at Weathervane Drive at approximately 10:58 p.m. Officers charged him with DUI-less safe (alcohol), marijuana possession of less than 1 ounce, open container violation while operating a motor vehicle and failure to maintain lane under Case #2026002940.

Golden also faces battery and cruelty to children charges tied to a separate case number, #2026002939, logged at the 5100 block of Courton Street at the same time. The bulletin does not describe the relationship between the two locations or the sequence of events.

All six charges are misdemeanors.

Shoplifting arrest on State Bridge Road

Earlier that afternoon, Kimberly Esmeralda Martines Potter, 31, was arrested at 2:38 p.m. at the 5900 block of State Bridge Road on a charge of theft by shoplifting $500 or less. The incident was first logged at 2:12 p.m., with the formal arrest recorded 26 minutes later.

The 5900 block of State Bridge Road has appeared repeatedly in JCPD bulletins. The Aug. 6 daily bulletin logged three separate suspended shoplifting cases at the same address, with dates of occurrence stretching back to April.

Disorderly conduct arrest

Savanna Marisa Taylor, 31, was arrested at 7:53 a.m. on a disorderly conduct charge at the 3000 block of Arbor Woods Drive. The case was cleared by arrest.

The Aug. 9 bulletin logged eight total entries, all misdemeanors. No felony charges were recorded that day.
