Catrina's Mexican Grill has operated at McGinnis Ferry Promenade since 2020, when it opened during the early months of the COVID-19 pandemic, according to a profile published Sunday, July 26, by the North Atlanta Star. The family-owned restaurant won a 2025 Nextdoor Neighborhood Faves award, voted on by area residents.

The restaurant sits at 5354 McGinnis Ferry Road, Suite 208, in Alpharetta, on the Forsyth County side of the corridor that directly serves Johns Creek and South Forsyth residents.

Bright papel picado banners cross the ceiling inside, and colorful calaveras and Day of the Dead imagery line the walls. The menu covers tacos, enchiladas, and fajitas alongside specialty dishes: birria, house-made tamales, mole, whole fried tilapia, and large mixed grills. A full bar pours margaritas and Mexican aguas frescas.

Catrina's hosts trivia night on Tuesdays and accepts private event bookings, per its Nextdoor page and website. An outdoor patio supplements the indoor dining room.

Hours are Sunday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.; Friday, 11 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.; and Saturday, noon to 10:30 p.m. The phone number is (770) 674-9652, and online ordering is available at catrinasalpharetta.com.
