Johns Creek residents now have a local option for cancer treatment after Piedmont Cancer Institute opened its newest office on Johns Creek Parkway, the private oncology practice's seventh metro-Atlanta location.

The Johns Creek Chamber of Commerce hosted a ribbon cutting for the facility in August, with Mayor John Bradberry joining local leaders and healthcare professionals to mark the opening. The chamber welcomed the institute as a new addition to the city's healthcare options.

The office at 11315 Johns Creek Parkway, Suite 220, is staffed by Dr. Kyle M. Kidwell and Dr. Jay Rhee, according to the institute's website. Services include medical oncology, hematology, an on-site infusion suite, an on-site lab, clinical trials, palliative care, pharmacy services and social worker care.

Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Parking is free.

The practice serves patients across Johns Creek, Suwanee, Cumming, Alpharetta, Duluth, Norcross and surrounding communities in Gwinnett and Forsyth counties.

Piedmont Cancer Institute is a private, physician-owned practice founded in 1987, distinct from the Piedmont Healthcare hospital system, with six other offices across metro Atlanta.

Patients can schedule appointments or reach the Johns Creek office at 678-399-7187.
