Azure Duan, a Johns Creek Republican, is running for Georgia House of Representatives District 50 in the Nov. 3, 2026, general election. She faces Democrat Michelle Au.
Duan, who is certified for the ballot, said on her campaign website that having lived under one-party control in China, she knows what it looks like when government divides people and tramples freedom. That experience, she said, motivates her campaign.
