Forsyth County moves its South Forsyth advance-voting location to Johns Creek Baptist Church for the Nov. 3 general election. The church at 6910 McGinnis Ferry Road replaces the Sharon Springs Park Community Building, closed for construction, the North Atlanta Star first reported.
The change means Johns Creek-area residents registered in Forsyth County will cast early ballots at the McGinnis Ferry Road site instead of Sharon Springs. Early voting runs from Tuesday, Oct. 13, through Friday, Oct. 30. Forsyth County's advance-voting page lists hours by location and date. All four Forsyth locations are open Oct. 26 through Oct. 30 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Monday, Oct. 5, is the last day to register to vote in Georgia for this election.
Fulton County sites in Johns Creek
Fulton County voters have two early voting locations inside Johns Creek, according to a county press release:
- Northeast Spruill Oaks Library, 9560 Spruill Road
- Robert F. Fulton Library at Ocee, 5090 Abbotts Bridge Road
Fulton's 32 sites are open Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Sunday, noon to 5 p.m. during the Oct. 13–30 early voting period. Fulton County voters may use any of the 32 locations during early voting but must go to their assigned precinct on Election Day.
During early voting, residents may use any open advance-voting location within their own county. A site across the county line is not an option.
What's on the ballot
Fulton County voters will decide two tax questions on Nov. 3. One is whether to reimpose a 0.75% Transportation Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (TSPLOST) running from April 1, 2027, through March 31, 2032, according to the county's call for election. The other is whether to reimpose a 1% education sales tax (ESPLOST) starting July 1, 2027, for up to 20 calendar quarters, to raise roughly $2.1 billion, per a separate election call.
Other deadlines and details
Voters must bring an accepted photo ID. A Georgia driver's license, even if expired, qualifies.
